We are looking for a stage manager for our summer 2010 production of Oliver. The Stage Manager is the assistant to the Director and is responsible for keeping order during rehearsals and performances
Details:
The Stage Manager is the assistant to the Director and is responsible for keeping order during rehearsals and performances. Additional responsibilities include: Assists with auditions Assists in calling all auditioners Creates/copies audition form and other audition documents Sets up audition space (signs, computer) with volunteer help Creates a written update on cuts, changes, and what was covered in rehearsals Sends reminders, takes notes about production meetings Creates and maintains cast list and call sheets Coordinates/tracks attendance at rehearsal Is information person for cast and families along with Production Manager Keeps master calendar and is point person for all calendar issues Copies, distributes all scripts (check out of rental materials) other paper related to cast/crew Helps collect all materials for program by deadline Drives all production calendar deadlines. Keeps rehearsal notes including blocking, groupings, set changes, props etc. Manages rehearsal props Assists with rehearsals as needed, gives announcements Assigns someone to read for actors who are absent Takes over "stage manager role" approaching tech week Must be at all rehearsals involving scene work and all cast rehearsals. Assists with move in to Como/ assists with final set arrangement Runs the performances Responsible for smooth function of/supervision of backstage areas Creates performance job lists and strike crews/lists Collects all rental materials and sends them back after run Distributes surveys to cast, crew, orch on 2nd weekend of shows Works with lighting/sound/tech director, keeps master cue sheet Production runs July 8-17 (Thurs-Saturday). Production Manager needed for 2010 summer production of Oliver. The Production Manager is the “face” of the production. They represent RTP as in the front of house during performances.

The Production Manager is the “face” of the production. They represent RTP as in the front of house during performances. Duties also include:
Reviews general info sheet about RTP for auditions, makes changes and prints Makes sure that dates and times for all show related activities and facilities are secured Establishes communication with ISD 623/ or COMO staff while using facilities Creates staff info/contact list Assists in auditions with data collection/photography Assists in calling all auditioners (audition results) Acquaints new staff with RTP properties and helps provide access to them Creates volunteer sheet specific to the show and recruits volunteers needed Helps with general information and concerns of cast and families and volunteers Manages t-shirts ordering, collecting money, distribution Collects all production related receipts and keeps running total of expenditures Assists with publicity materials distribution to cast Liaison between production staff and RTP board and attends board meetings to report during rehearsal period Coordinates with publicity/costumer/cast about publicity photos Attends "ALL CAST" rehearsals for first 45 minutes and others on "as needed" basis Requests any repair and replacement of defective parts of equipment in space Manages and staffs all show publicity: press releases, show announcements, postering day, publicity photos Attends production meetings Manages and staffs show related fundraising including friends solicitation, program ads, shout outs, DVD sales Manages and staffs program creation, production and printing, including gathering all program materials from Director/Stage Manager and Board Collaborate with Stage Manager on Show work crews to make sure front of house work is covered. RTP is looking for a talented and engaging Director for our inter-generational production of Oliver the Musical!
Details:
Rosetown Playhouse (RTP) is now accepting submission for Director for the upcoming production of Oliver at St. Paul Como Pavilion in July. Stipend available. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable working with all ranges of actors, including training, age and experiences. Rosetown is an inclusive organization and we encourage large, multi-generational casts. Please send resume/cover letter and three references to info@rosetownplayhouse.org . Submissions will be accepted through March 9, 2010. Interviews will be held as needed. Production runs July 8-17 (Thurs-Saturday). Rosetown Playhouse does things “with a twist” so tell us how you can create a “twist” with your vision of Oliver for RTP.
DIRECTOR: The director for all Rosetown Playhouse productions acts as the main visionary for the production. They are required to produce performances in accordance to the mission and values of Rosetown Playhouse and be inclusive of all participants. Specific Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the overall artistic vision of the show Assists in creating the set design (suggestions, desires) Assist in creating the audition form Conducts auditions/ callbacks/casts the show Creates rehearsal schedule with input from other production staff/ revises as needed. Conducts rehearsals, responsible for morale, positive experience and discipline Communicates with all other production staff in areas that affect them. Responsible for blocking and flow of the show Keeps production on schedule and true to the Rosetown vision. Reports any concerns or grievances to the RTP Board liaison or staff member Calls production meetings to promote communication and collaboration in staff Attends opening night, provides feedback

Stipend Position: Musical Director needed for summer production of Oliver: Piano skills preferred, teach vocal parts to large cast, rehearse and direct pit orchestra in perfomances.
Details:
The Musical Director assists the Director with musical rehearsals and directs the pit orchestra during performances and rehearsals, in addition to the following responsibilities:
Assists in auditions and casting Teaches and rehearses all musical numbers to soloists and chorus Holds any additional rehearsals to accomplish learning of music Responsible for musical decisions such as cuts, voicings, solos etc. Assists in hiring of rehearsal pianists and advises of all cuts and changes Recruits necessary instrumentalists Copies/arranges any instrumental parts needed/distributes music Rehearses pit orchestra before combined rehearsals with cast Directs the performances Communicates all show information with orchestra Is responsible for collecting all rented orchestra parts for return Maintains a database of instrumentalists (on RTP website) Helps with set up of orchestra pit Production runs July 8-17 (Thurs-Saturday).
